Tekpea presents at European Utility Week 2014, Amsterdam, 4-6 November 2014

Tekpea’s communication platform enables companies to quickly and effectively deploy cutting edge smart grid and IoT applications.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands — November 1, 2014 — Palo Alto, California based Tekpea will be at European Utility Week in Amsterdam (Nov 4-6), to demonstrate how customers and partners have successfully deployed innovative solutions built on tekpea’s communication platform.

Tekpea enables product companies and system integrators to offer connected products and services for a wide range of applications including advanced metering, home automation, telemetry, demand response, and LED lighting management.

Davide Tappeiner, CEO of Tekpea states, “Most product manufacturers aren’t in the business of internet technology, that’s where we come in. Our platform has become an integral part of how companies connect their products to the internet, build applications and services around them, and bring everything to market faster.”

Tekpea’s platform is segmented, like building blocks that can be easily combined to meet customization requirements in a way that significantly reduces upfront costs and time to market. The platform supports multiple communication protocols (PLC, RF, Wifi, ZigBee), which means the end product can be adapted for a variety of environmental conditions, technological infrastructures, and geographic landscapes.

Tappeiner added that while at European Utility Week, “Tekpea will demonstrate how customers use our platform to launch their own lines of smart products and services. While our technology is disruptive to how companies currently go through the product development cycle, connected products are becoming a market requirement for many industries.”

Device manufacturers and system integrators use the Tekpea platform to add communication capabilities to existing products like electricity meters, water meters, appliances, and LED lights – transforming them into smart, connected products.

In closing Tappeiner said, “Any smart grid or IoT application requires devices to maintain a constant, secure connection with the cloud where data is managed and controlled. We provide that end-to-end communication pathway, from hardware modules to services.”
